At odem, we love animals and place great importance on sustainability and transparency.

The leather for our bracelets comes from recognized European tanneries that our supplier works with. Only hides that are byproducts of meat processing are used – no animal is slaughtered specifically for our products.

The horsehide comes from southern Germany, the goatskin from France. Both types of leather stand for the highest quality, durability and responsible sourcing.

The tanneries with which our supplier cooperates meet strict environmental standards and rely on regional processing with short transport routes – for the smallest possible CO₂ footprint.

Leather is one of the oldest and most sustainable natural materials. Through the careful selection of our partners, we ensure that it is ethically sourced, durable, and resource-efficient.

The horsehide is tanned with olive leaf extract – one of the most sustainable vegetable tanning methods available. 🌿

This special tanning process not only gives the leather a pleasant feel, but also preserves its authenticity and vibrancy.

Each piece deliberately displays subtle natural irregularities and visible scars. A special sanding technique is used to lightly sand the surface, which is then finished with oil.

This creates the characteristic matte-gloss effect that gives the leather its distinctive depth. These leather bracelets don't strive for perfection – they represent individuality, strength, and genuine character.
